First of all: YES.YES.YES.YES.YES. Could I be any more excited about this Gilmore Girls Revival (FRIENDS reference, if you don’t know it: you should be ashamed). Gilmore Girls is coming back to the small screen and hopefully being the closure we all wanted – nay, NEEDED.
Gilmore Girls Revival
I’ve done my research. Thoroughly. I needed all the information there was about this, so called, revival. Having Rory and Lorelai back on my laptop was a gift send from heaven. So let’s start with the most important questions:
WHEN?
Netflix announced the revival will be premiering on November 25 at 12:01 PST (which is 9:01 AM in The Netherlands and 8:01 in the UK). Which is amaaaazing since the weather will be slightly worse and colder. In Holland we might even be expecting some snow then – and how amazing would it be to watch Gilmore Girls when it’s snowing? Sounds perfect. Lorelai would be happy.
Who’s coming back to Stars Hollow?
Lorelai (Lauren Graham), Rory (Alexis Bledel), and Emily (Kelly Bishop) are all set to return. So YAY, all three Gilmore Girls. Also Luke (Scott Patterson) – THANK GOD -, ex-husband Christopher (David Sutcliffe) and Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) will be back. Rory’s bunch of boyfriends, Dean (Jared Padalecki), Jess (Milo Ventimiglia), and Logan (Matt Czuchry), will also make an appearance. You thought it couldn’t get any better? Think again! Paris Geller (Liza Weil) will be back as well. Also Stars Hollow regulars like Michel (Yanic Truesdale), Miss Patty (Liz Torres), and Kirk (Sean Gunn) will return to the Gilmore Girls set. My heart.

OOOH MYYYY GOOOOD.
What will the series look like?
Sherman-Palladino laid out her special plan for the revival. Instead of a full season of episodes (bummer), the Gilmore Girls revival will consist of four 90-minute mini movies/episodes, each titled a specific season, beginning with winter (DUH), followed by spring, summer, and fall. Thats why the series will be called: A year in the life.
It’s official. We know this because now there’s a title. #GilmoreGirls pic.twitter.com/kOVW3rEhMk

New Characters?
The show will bring a few new characters to the screen. this includes a young Peruvian couple (maybe new Stars Hollows residents?); a 30-something named Paul, who was described as “a good boyfriend”, and an older men’s magazine editor. What could they have in store for us?
Set-photo’s
Is this real? Please don’t pinch me if not. Luke and Lorelai still together. My heart. Again.
I guess Friday Night Dinners aren’t over yet.
Ah. The picture of Rory and Lorelai drinking coffee and eating take-out. We miss you.
So let me speculate here: is Rory a teacher now? Or a guest-lecturer about her adventures as a world-traveling journalist?
Town meeting? YES. We miss the drama in Stars Hollow.
Musical of Stars Hollow? Eh. YES PLEASE. Love the outfits, though.
So far…
Here’s everything I know so far. I will update anytime there’s more or new information.
SO EXCITED!
